Turkish fiery statements rejected- Kurdistan spokesman

Arbil – Iraq's Kurdistan presidency spokesman rejected on Friday statements recently made by Turkish officials on Kirkuk calling such statements "meaningless."
"We for a while have heard of meaningless statements by some Turkish officials that implied threats and we want to remind them of that the Ottoman empire had fallen a long time ago and Iraq is not part of Turkey," the spokesman said in a statement received by the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).
The Kurdish statements came in reply to what the Kurds saw as threats made by the Turkish Prime Minster Recep Tayyip Erdogan when he indicated last week that Turkey will no sit idle if the Iraqi Kurds controlled over the oil rich city of Kirkuk.
Erdogan said in a Turkish parliament session that efforts are under way to change the demography of Kirkuk population and Turkey will not tolerate such attempts.These endeavors, the Turkish Premier remarked, may lead to a situation harmer than civil war in Iraq and may affect the region as a whole.
The oil-rich-Kirkuk, 250 km northeast of Baghdad, is a mixed city of Kurds, Arabs and Turkmans.
Iraq's Kurdistan statement urged Turkey to assist Iraq and not to interfere in its internal affairs.

Turkey has no right to intervene in Iraq’s internal affairs and the international community will not allow it. I wonder if Erdogan realizes how he ridicules comes a cross with his threats. His bulling tactics sounds more like a gang leader rather than a prominent world leader.
What is driven Erdogan mad is his inability to get his hand on Kirkuk. So go head threaten all you want Kirkuk is a Kurdish state and whether you like it or not it will become part of Kurdistan.

Turkey is not after Kirkuk or any land outside of Turkey.. She just wants to leave in peace in her own land without PKK terror. Do not forget that 30,000 turkish and kurdish people have been murdered by this group since 1984. Do not forget also Kurds are in every western city in Turkey living in peace with Turkish people. I have no objections against a Kurdish state but if PKK still exists then Turkey has every right to follow the murderers and punish them wherever they are. Turkey has this right.
Dear Deniz, I believe dialog is the key in resolving all our differences peacefully.
If turkey wants to live in peace like you suggest then why don’t they accept some form of realistic democratic approach to the Kurdish issues. I believe that 99% of all Kurds will turn their backs on PKK if Turkey was sincere in resolving the Kurdish problem. The problem is not PKK alone, but also Turkish state’s behavior on handling the Kurdish issue. We all want peace, but peace will not come by denying the existence of 20 million Kurds. Peace is not achievable by refusing Kurdish culture, language, traditions and identity. In order to achieve peace it is of profound importance for all to learn and accept, respect, each others views and opinions.
The problem is Turkish state denial and its unrealistic approach to the Kurdish issues that prolongs blood shed from both sides.
